Curly just oozed the blues, in the best sense of the word. As for the Johnny Bush thing, the best song was "Tennesee to Texas" and it was a Chalker ride all the way. He did some incredible stuff as the only lead instrument. His "Big Hits on Big Steel" is the greatest album ever, bar none.

Born in Enterprise, Alabama, Chalker began playing the lap steel guitar while still in his teens and made his professional debut in the nightclubs of Cincinnati, Ohio.
