I tried to use a tire pump but I could not get any air into it .( I also got a better deal out of town so I had to sneak into the local dealer) and bought a harley air pump. I put 30lb for solo 210lb rider and maybe 35lbs with 120lb passenger . My 2012 SG seems to bottom out on driveways and going over RR tracks, sometime with a passenger or solo.
